Tikisha Symonee King Death, Obituary – Tragic Death of Tikisha Symonee King in Houston Shooting; Ex-Boyfriend Charged with Murder, A tragic shooting in southwest Houston has left the community reeling after 29-year-old Tikisha Symonee King, also known as TriggaTre, was fatally shot while working at Ralston Discount Beverages on South Post Oak Road. King, a graduate of Willowridge High School and a beloved figure in the local community, was gunned down on November 12, 2024.
The suspect, Michael Dewayne Wilkerson, 39, has been arrested and charged with capital murder and tampering with evidence. Houston police allege that Wilkerson, King’s ex-boyfriend, followed her into the store and shot her multiple times, including four shots to her back. Surveillance footage from the store confirmed Wilkerson’s involvement, despite his attempts to conceal his identity. After the shooting, Wilkerson disposed of the murder weapon in a nearby bayou and discarded his clothes.
Investigators believe that King had ended her romantic relationship with Wilkerson, but the two maintained a friendship. However, police say Wilkerson’s actions were triggered by feelings of disrespect. The next day, Wilkerson was arrested after authorities identified him through interviews and vehicle registration photos. During questioning, Wilkerson reportedly confessed to the crime.
Friends and family of King, who was known for her vibrant personality and deep ties to the Ridgemont Elementary community, have expressed their grief on social media. One friend wrote, “Don’t even have the words… sleep in peace my girl since Ridgemont Elementary sending prayers to her mama & family.”
Tikisha King’s family has not yet announced funeral arrangements, but her tragic passing has sparked an outpouring of support from the Houston community. Wilkerson remains in custody without bond as the investigation continues.
